Due to the short rainy season this year, ensuring normal navigation on the canal was the priority before power generation could be considered. This resulted in less actual power generation time, shorter operating time, and longer downtime for the hydro power plant. Therefore, the client approached our team to undertake the supporting and related hydro power plant project for the regulating dam on the Beijing-Hangzhou Grand Canal, according to their request, with a routine major maintenance scheduled for the end of 2025.
